The Pilot also excels in braking performance, stopping from 60 mph in 126 feet compared to 130 feet for the Passport.

In terms of interior comfort, both the Pilot and the Passport have their strengths. The Pilot, with its three rows of seats, is praised for its generous space, especially in the third row, where it can accommodate adults with more room than competitors like the Subaru Ascent and Toyota Highlander. With up to 48.5 cubic feet of cargo space when the third-row seats are folded down, the Pilot is ideal for larger families.
The Passport, while shorter, does not lag in practicality. Its cargo space of 41.2 cubic feet behind the second row surpasses rivals like the Ford Edge and Toyota Venza. Its more compact design may suit families who don’t need three rows of seats but still want generous cargo space.
Safety and technology
Safety is a priority for Honda, and both models offer impressive features. The Pilot and the Passport come equipped with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Both vehicles also include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert on most trim levels.
The 2023 Passport has received a five-star overall rating from the NHTSA and good results from the IIHS, though it received a Marginal rating in the updated side crash test. The 2023 Pilot, being newer, has not yet been rated, but it is expected to maintain a five-star overall rating and slightly improve on the Passport's results.
Infotainment and amenities
The Pilot, with its modern features, offers a 9-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster on EX-L trims and higher. The Elite model provides even more sophistication with its advanced features.
The Passport comes with an 8-inch touchscreen across all models, offering a user-friendly interface but slightly less sophisticated than the Pilot. However, it remains well-suited for daily needs with its reliable and easy-to-use infotainment options.
