It is equipped with a unique turbocharged, direct-injection, 4-cylinder DOHC engine, delivering a peak output of 174 horsepower in the LX version; 180 horsepower in the Sport version and the newest version Sport Touring is equipped with a large capacity central exhaust. The turbocharged engine is available with a performance-inspired six-speed manual transmission or sporty CVT.
In addition, the new Civic Hatchback 2017 already has a lighter, stiffer body than the Civic, a chassis with a futuristic design, a rear spoiler, a fully independent suspension, 18-inch wheels in some versions, power steering sport-caliber electronic brakes and powerful 4-disc disc brakes with anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution as well as Hill Start Assist.
